It means that anyone who has never ridden a motorcycle before can really and 100 percent safely take a virtual ride for the first time here …! One more attraction: under the motto “Hot engines up close”, motor history can be experienced live at several stations – surrounded by the museum’s motorized rarities.
Come & experience: an exhibition area of over 4,500 m² with rare, antique vintage motorcycles and classic cars as well as all the major motorcycle brands since 1867!
KTM Motohall – real motorcycle feeling
Take a seat on a special bike and experience the real motorcycle feeling with all the vibrations and noises: “Sound of motorbikes” is one of the visitor magnets. Or “Vehicles around the world” presenting 96 images that change every ten seconds and show possible uses of motorcycles and cars all over the world. At another station, the difference between 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines is explained visually by using an interactive engine table. Most of the interactive stations are provided by KTM Motohall. As do 24 KTM vehicles – ranging from vintage motorcycles dating back to 1956 to the high-tech racing star KTM X-Bow.
PS: Huge THANKS go to our long-standing cooperation and museum partner KTM Motohall Mattighofen!
Microcars or small cars
Here we show the transition of motorization from motorcycles to cars. 15 exhibits from the 1950s and 1960s, ranging from BMW to Zündapp, give a deep insight into motorization after World War II. One of our undisputed TOP Mountain Motorcycle Museum highlights for everyone who loves to marvel at more than just two-wheel vehicles since 1867.
“Professor Max Reisch“ special exhibition
The permanent special exhibition “Expeditions and research trips Prof. Max Reisch” is showing Puch motorcycles, all expedition vehicles and the historical equipment of this famous Tirolean researcher and transport pioneer for the very first time. His expeditions in the 1930s and 1940s took him to almost every continent and are today internationally regarded as admirable pioneering achievements. Another focus topic of this special exhibition is “Motorsport in Tirol of yesteryear”. Here we give the Tirolean motorsport pioneers, their vehicles and legendary races a stage.
